Was it a large clump? At first glance it looks like the garden species, A. mollis.
Hi, this was by far the smallest clump out of several in this area, but that made it easier to frame for a photograph.
I've been back, and added a picture of the immediate surrounding area as well - perhaps not as clear, but you can see the extent of the coverage, which spreads amongst other plants for a good twenty yards or so. There are other areas on the reserve currently in flower as well.
