Can anyone confirm that this is Common Comfrey for me or provide an alternative identification?

A difference between ...

... Symphytum offinale and Symphytum x uplandicum is that in the former the petiole wings extend more than one node down the stem, whilst in the latter they extend less than one node (or may be absent?).

Therefore your last picture doesn't show enough of the stem for identification by this feature. The 3rd picture is better for this purpose, but I'm not sure of the identification.

Useful information.

It was identified as Symphytum officinale by a County Recorder for the Devon Biodiversity Records Centre but that was only in passing, so it's possible he made a mistake.
