Description:

First Large Skipper in the garden this year - one day earlier than last year and two days later than 2011. On the wing at 8 o'clock in the morning. Recording as both O. faunus and O. sylvanus as I still get conflicting advice on this within the iSpot community. - although O. sylvanus still comes up as the recommended option. Perhaps we can have a vote-off with you expressing your preference? Although, as Chris points out in the comments - this seems to have been resolved in favour of O. sylvanus in the forum.
