My in-laws were looking after our dogs yesterday and had put their food in the porch. Around 11pm the two dogs were going ballistic to get out and they assumed the dogs just wanted to finish their meals. However, when they opened the door the lurcher shot out and squealed, a hedgehog was tucking into the dog's dry biscuits and he had, yet again, prickled his nose on it - he just never learns!
I hadn't realised hedgehogs would eat dry food; I suggested they put a bowl of water out for the hedgehog it having eaten the dry food.
