285th equal commonest plant ...

... in my records, so I don't think that it qualifies as remarkably common.

It's quite common along the canal network to the west of me. Elsewhere it turns up on post-industrial sites, and I wonder whether it's been introduced there as part of a meadow flower seed mix.
