Butterflies in Berks, Bucks and Oxon

The Upper Thames Branch (Berks, Bucks and Oxon) of Butterfly Conservation is updating the butterfly atlas for the three counties, for the period 2005-2009. There are still some gaps, particularly in the northern half of Bucks and especially around Milton Keynes!, so for those of you who live within reach of the Open University campus it would be great if you could send in any records, even if it's just one or two.

The Branch recorder, Jim Asher, has provided maps showing the coverage of records so far at:

Records can be sent direct to Jim - his contact details and downloadable recording forms are at:
http://upperthames-butterflies.org.uk/recording.html#butterflyrecs

Or of course you can post your observations on iSpot and I'll forward them to him.

No doubt other counties are engaged in similar exercises, for details of your local Butterfly Conservation branch see:

Despite the poor weather there are still some butterflies flying!

Martin
