Description:

One small patch found on a narrow, fairly-overgrown path (signposted History Trail) on Skomer Island. Almost didn't notice it. Not able to find anything that matches pictures closely, so any pointers welcome.

Not Blinks

Having seen some better pictures of Blinks, I am pretty sure that this example is not that. However, I am no closer to knowing what it actually might be.

Seems to have some resemblances to Star Waterworts, but I don't recall this patch of ground being particularly wet.

Still open to suggestions.

Procumbens

Hi Tim, Now that you point it out, my specimen does look very much like some pictures of s. procumbens, although this specimen seems to be very different to one found in local grasslands, so I wouldn't have made the connection myself - many thanks. John
