Description:

Back garden safari. Discovered in the vegetable patch as I was weeding.Found under some old leaves and disappearing into the soil. I chosen Stigmatogaster sunterranea based upon the listing on the British Myriapod & Isopod Group www. bmig.org.uk

The pair at the end are the last pair of legs, but they usually look different from the other legs. It should always be an odd number of leg pairs in all centipedes - e.g. 79 or 81 - never 80! No one knows why!!
