Description:

On the car at 6:30am started in Westgate-On-Sea and ended up 5 miles away at Manston (wife's work place was still on the window). Not there when she finished work - new environment for this moth. I'm struggling a bit and have put my only thoughts on this one as might be - this is new to me.

that looks much more..

...like it - have trawled away through the moths of the uk and still didn't bump into this one. Thanks Chris - you have saved me the time of opening every category within the thumbnails - must be an easier way but with so many maybe not.

I also note....

..that iSpot has the family as eribidae whereas the uk moths has the family as lymantriidae, I missed this on looking at the 11 pics there, should be more astute.
