Who's the culprit?

From the colour of this, it looks like an insectivore's droppings. Mum and I have seen single ones dotted around the garden. The one in the photo was approx 4-5 cm long. Can anyone suggest which mammal may have left these droppings? I thought maybe a hedgehog but I'm not sure.

I think you are spot on with this ID. You can see bits of insect in the dropping, which is the right shape, colour and length for hedgehog.
