Description:

Very tall plant (80cm) with large flower heads up to 2cm long. So I am wondering if this is not Salad Burnet but Fodder Burnet. Surely not Great Burnet? It grows between the flagstones and I don't know how it got there, possibly from a wildflower mix.

Nomenclature

NBN (and Rose) give Fodder Burnet as Sanguisorba minor subsp. muricata. Poterium is given as a synonym. I can't find a reference to ssp balearicum. Rose says Fodder Burnet is often included in wildflower mixes, which might explain its origin.
