Hmm, not convinced about this. Have added another photo to show how wide and blunt the head is.
This is really to get myself to look at details as anything... Overall, they just look like blackgrass to me, too long and thin for meadow foxtail somehow, but I realised that I didn't actually know what to use to check. (Details as in Rose's Grasses sedges rushes and ferns.) I agree the tapering/blunt character doesn't seem very helpful here.
The ligule length looks good for A myosuroides, 2-5mm, A pratensis is 1-2.5mm. The proportions of the whole spike looks too narrow to me for pratensis, though the last one does look chunkier than the ones in the first picture. Awns on pratensis project 3-5mm beyond glumes, for myosuroides the awns project 4-8mm. A bit tricky to judge that based on finger-nail width though.
