Wagtail - pied or white ? Two shots of the same bird.
No interactions present.
It's possibly a bird born last year, as there appears to be a moult limit in the greater coverts. There is no sign of black spreading up from the rump between the tertials, and the back is quite clean grey, suggesting alba. Then again, the flanks are quite dark, suggesting yarrellii. Not an easy one (as is true for many of them!) and I would leave it indeterminate.

Thanks very much ophrys for addressing the id questions I raised and for your detailed comments - its good to know that the experts occasionally have the same id problems that I have !
Are the Pied/White usually easier to separate or should there be a category ' Motacilla alba injudicata' ?
They are harder than some would have you believe!
This paper is quite informative...
A very interesting paper - thank you.
