Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be.
Notes: A lizard dashed across my path on heathland and into a tussock of grass. Had a look in there and removed some vegetation, unfortunately I didnt see the animal again but as I pulled at the vegetation I found the tail wriggling. This doesnt usually happen when I try to locate a lizard buried in the vegetation but its always potentially going to happen especially pulling at the grass when not exactly sure where the lizard is. Same thing happened about ten years ago and since that Ive unearthed a couple of dozen lizards without damaging them. At least the animal will survive and eventually regrow its tail.
