Sea-fig

Derrick Rowe says the deep pink flowered Carpobrotus is C chilensis as ranon.2011 indicates (see previous observations) and he seems to be well versed in the Genus. C. edulis goes pink with age.

Decision?

How do we decide which is correct?

Would be nice if someone

Would be nice if someone decided. When I have put it up before as 'Hottentot Fig' it was changed to 'Sea Fig'. Confused of Boscombe.

I used Stace too...

I think that we may draw a blank on this one.
I used Francis Rose initially and reached C.edulis, but it wasn't quite right, so went to Stace for more detail. D Rowe is on iSpot from time to time so maybe can shed more light.
Anyone have anything more to add by way of location? What is most likely there?

This, ones extremely similar

This, ones extremely similar are all over the cliffs spanning at least a kilometre.
