Thanks Steve. I could

Thanks Steve. I could probably find it again. Is the difference down to genitalia extraction or is there another feature I could look for?

I really like the red/green patterning of the legs!

Genitalia

The difference is genitalia (either the palps on a male or the eipgyne in the female) but I understand that with spiders this can be done without killing them as the features are external.

Jamie, I'm not sure about

Jamie, I'm not sure about having to dissect out the genitalia, perhaps so with the males, this web page may provide you with enough visual information to separate the females of the two species.

The patterning on the legs is quite striking, but it's not present on all examples of the species, they seem quite variable in colouration.

Steve.
