Agree the left hand bird is confusing. Doesn’t look quite right for the bill but maybe it’s the angle.
With a similar grey patch showing on the back, I took that to be a bright ray of light across the head (also showing on edge of the trough). You could be right, though, looking at it again.
Looking at the full size downloaded image I’m sure it’s not an artefact.
Yes...it looks smaller than the standing bird, too.
The bird on the left is a rook, you can clearly see its large pale grey, relatively long and pointed bill.
The bird in the middle is a jackdaw, the silver grey nape is showing well.
The bird on the right is more difficult and would have to go down as corvid sp.
