Description:

I am guessing this is a peacock - I have only ever seen them in groups on Nettle but it looks very similar even though there was only one to be seen.

Identity

I don't think that this is a Peacock butterfly larva. They have prominent black spines alomg the length of the body whereas these speciemns show just a few white hairs.
