Found in my Cambridgeshire garden. Sadly I can't remember what it was doing!
No interactions present.
In October it would almost certainly have been marching along the ground looking for somewhere to pupate. Privet Hawk caterpillars are surprisingly hard to spot when they are actively feeding, but in the autumn I find them regularly wandering along paths before they pupate underground.
