But what species they are may be work out. I suspect butterfly/moth, but it's a guess. Eggs are usually laid on the "right" food plant, which in this case looks like a grass.
Unfortunately, quite a lot of the wee beasts are not fussy, and eat a range of plants - which doesn't help!
