I didnt think this fitted

I didnt think this fitted hoverfly, as its abdomen was shaped almost like a bees or wasps and not like a typical fly

mimics

most hoverflies mimic wasps or bees to some degree, in colour and markings, or shape, or manner of flight, and to varying degrees of success. My id here is based on the short antennae and head shape generally, and the swollen hind femur - visible in image 015
