tree bumblebee

Hi i have a bird box which has been taken over with i think the tree bumblebees are these bees agressive and how many bees will there be, will they swarm as the nest box is on a fence in my garden

For the most part

Bumblebees - like most other bees - are very tolerant, and nowhere near as aggressive as social wasps or your actual honey bees. I once spent half an hour trying to get a macro shot of some of these on a garden shrub - they were present in large numbers and very active. They clearly didn't appreciate my presence at close quarters, but I didn't get stung once.
