Description:

In meadow margin with woodland. Tiny flowers, est 5mm diameter (less?). Resembles a chickweed or a stitchwort with 5 divided petals. Size of sepals relative to petals is confusing, but Lesser Stitchwort seems close.

Bog

Agreed not Moehringia (petals) but had discounted S. alsine as no obvious bog or marsh present. However, the whole area is Gault Clay retaining moisture where there are shaded shallow depressions, as here. Gault also gives the acidic soil conditions mentioned by Rose.
