Dame's-violet, Hesperis matronalis

In very tall grass. Damp area by the wetlands.
The flowers seem too numerous in one clump for Cardamine pratensis. Also, the stamina look different, smaller and less prominent.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that one - still learning, knew I should have pressed 'I can't be certain' :) Thanks. Agreed that leaves are always useful also, I usually try and photograph both but don't always remember...

I'm learning too!

I really love nature but there is so much to learn! That's why we are here!
Definitely, taking a picture of the leaves helps. The flowers I took a picture of were quite far away from the path so I would have to make my way through tall nettles and cow parsley. I don't mind it's just that on that sunny day the dense vegetation was buzzing with life and I didn't want to invade...
