New to me

Observed: 9th June 2013 By: Mogney

On an inside window in the house this evening. I have looked through all my moth and butterfly books and looked on the Butterfly Conservation and UK Moth website but can't see anything other than Grizzled Skippers that look anything close to this.
very dark buff, almost black with creamy white spots, wingspan 30mm

    Likely ID
    Anania coronata
Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain.

Brilliant, my first ever posting and an identification in no time. Lovely stuff.

Have a look at -

This site -
Where it is listed under the older name. Micro-moths are hard, at least for me.
I'm not an expert, but Chris's identification looks right to my untrained eye.
