Really not sure of this plant at all - I have only guessed my ID (my initial thoughts) as all my googling didn't come up with anything different (probably due to my inadequate descriptions), relying on you experts out there. New to me.

...guys for your help - didn't think this was samphire at all. Hadn't got anything else in the locker. I totally agree - loads of it here. I wont forget this now - love learning.

The texture of this one might help - it is very harsh/rough there is a high silica content - it used to be used as a type of sandpaper
