Description:

Is this bombus pratorum? - Chestnut/russet hair on thorax and white tip on abdomen. This coloration appeared different to the more numerous yellow thorax/orangey buff abdomen bombus pratorum also present on the same plant.

Tree Bumblebee

These bees are relatively new to the UK. As the name suggests they are tree nesters, but will also take to nest boxes for birds such as Blue Tits and Great Tits.

Very good pollinators of raspberries, tayberries etc.
