2 metallic beetles on a buttercup flower on a chalk bank at Cookham, Berkshire
No interactions present.
After checking the specimens here at the NHM, I am pretty sure these are aureolus. The best way to ID them is under a microscope but as a rule of thumb if they are about 3-5mm long they are hypochaeridis and if they are 5-6mm long then they are aureolus. ;)
