Notes: You've been had! It is a bumble-bee mimic - and quite good at its job. However, you can see the antennae: quite different from the thread-like antennae of bumble-bees, and you can just about see that the legs are not carrying pollen nor are they equipt to do so. You probably can't see that it has only two wings. This species feeds on bulbs as a larva and is often common in gardens where it may feed on narcissi/daffodils.
