W green lizard
Description:

A western green lizard with a forked tail. I assume he lost the end of his tail and re-grew it - twice. I wondered if anyone had seen this before (or are French lizards special?)

I've seen two tails on a few

I've seen two tails on a few different lizard species. It happens when the lizard sheds its tail but the break isn't clean and the original tail is left partially attached. A new tail then grows from the wound alongside the original.

Two tails

Thanks for that explanation, MM. It makes more sense than my idea.
