This was quite a large bat with flight more like a bird, which was what I thought it was initially.
No interactions present.
Don't know what kind of bat it is, but how unusual! It was flying freely then, not caught in the tree somehow and flapping to escape?

Yes, it was flying round the small parking area as free as a bat! I have seen a bat in the daytime elsewhere, and I think that may have been a Daubenton's.
