Description:

I initially thought this was a song thrush, but I'm not sure now having checked against other pictures. The dark lines on the throat look unusual.

Thanks for your help folks, I think from it's flight and general behaviour that it was a Song Thrush. It was just the unusual markings that really flummoxed me, I'd expected more spots down to the leg region and pinker legs. Plus, it had very light face markings below the eye. It must be the special Scottish colouring that put me off track! :-)
