downlooker

I think there's a second, similar fly, the 'yellow downlooker' which starts emerging about now but isn't about for very long and is found in woodland

Location

It's not easy to see the antennae...pointed in scolopaceus, blunt in strigosus...but location alone should make this scolopaceus.
