I'd like to add this record to the county herp database, but the map pin suggests the animal was in the school grounds rather than in the woods. Is the pin in the right place or is the placement a result of the mapping system?

Hi Matt ,the sighting was in the carpark of Wildmoor Heath Nature Reserve ,on Sandhurst Road ,Crowthorne .I am not quite sure how the pin ended up in a school ,lucky the Adder didn't.
Thanks for the info on the location. Next time I go down to Wildmoor to do a reptile survey I'll have to pay more attention to the car park. If you have any other herp records at all I'd be glad to have them. If you do Facebook at all, look us up on "BRAG - Berkshire Reptile and Amphinbian Group" - https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/362248367128874/
Would that make it an adder-lescent?
Winter is coming, which means "database update season" is nearly upon us. If you have any more herp records apart from this one for Berkshire or surrounding areas I would be very pleased to have them for the Berks Herp database.
