Lucky lucky you, I have searched for years for a perching Hairy to no avail, great image, most jealous.

Is clearly Dragonfly heaven! Despite being bitten to death by mosquitos and clegs, it's the best thing about the enforced relocation "dahn sauf".
Let me but find an adder there, and joy will be unconfined...

Interesting question

The bit about an Odonata equivalent to a twitcher, I mean.

I've certainly noticed quite a strong correlation between those keen on birds and those keen on dragonflies - a substantial intersection on the ol' Venn diagram, I think. ;-)
