Greeny-bronze beetle with pitted wing-case and red legs
No interactions present.
The general appearance is of a couple of flea/leaf beetles, but they are small (4-10mm), and from the angle the photo' is taken..........
I would guess this one is large(ish)
You must be right Matt as the photographs of Chrysolina banksi are to great a resemblance for there to be much room for doubt.
As you say Kluut flea beetles are small And what is more, I have had to many encounters with them in the vegetable patch not to recognize one.
The beetle in question was not a jumping beetle but had a peculiar heavy gate, lifting each leg quite high as it walked.
