Grey seals

These are photos of grey seals but not the same animal. The first has the paler grey coat of a female whilst the the second photo has a convex 'Roman nose' making it a male (the females have a slightly concave 'Roman nose').

Interestingly the female in the first photo is trying to impersonate a common seal's banana shape when at rest. I'm not being fooled though as she is just too fat to pull it off properly!

Thank you - that is very interesting. I go to the same spot everyday now to try and see them and am hoping to learn lots more about them. I saw 5 different ones that day.
