bees and foxes 007.jpg

This is one of the bees that are nesting in the airvent just below my window. It has a very orange, (not brown) thorax and an orange stripe at the beginning of the abdomen which then goes to black and then black again but with a lot of white hair giving a grey affect.
But what type of bee is it?

BWARS are again mapping the distribution and spread of this delightful bumblebee and would very much like to have the full "Who, when and where" on your sighting.

Details of how to submit data are on the BWARS webpage at www.bwars.com

Many thanks
