The most interesting find of the day, spotted on faeces. Its markings are very similar to the Burying Beetle's. After finding a dead animal (bird or a mouse) the N.vespillo starts to bury it. After this, they begin to dig a hole below the carcass. While doing so, the N.vespillo beetle covers the animal with faeces. Is this next stage happening in the image? That is a lot of faeces!
