Description:

Very small bees in garden (about 1 cm. length). seem to be nesting in cracks of an old table top used as a bird feeder on top of old tree stump.
Now revising to Osmia species from first guess of Anthophora. I am surprised as the male seems to be guarding the hole like the Anthophora plumipes do and there is no signs, as yet of any hole filling. I suppose that will come later. thanks for ID
