...if you mean Arum maculatum (Jack in the pulpit, Waggling Willies etc)....

They come out of the ground vertically, rolled up, and virtually stalkless, and as soon as they start to open, they have that typical long-pointed shape.

Your little leaves look hauntingly familiar, but I can't put a name to them. (other than "weed" which is not very helpful.) Sorry!

Rumex ?

To me they look rather like the young leaves of a Sorrel or Dock (Rumex species).
