Violet

Seeds of Violet spread by ants, seed has an oily gland at one end which ants find attractive, I presume as food.

The usual purple-leaved violet is

... Viola labradorica hort., which is not the true Viola labradorica, but instead a form of Viola riviniana (V. r. Purpurea Group).

With the inconsistent colouring in this one, it may be stretching the scope to include it in Purpurea Group.
