Great species interaction

Great species interaction Bob, I wouldnt be able to tell the mullet from a thick lipped, can enough of the nature of the mouth be seen to seperate them?

I thought I could see both species in the shoal, and this was one of the smaller, thinner ones. I took these to be thin-lipped as it is the smaller species but I couldn't see any mouth detail from above.

Its a great interaction. The

Its a great interaction. The only sea lamprey I have ever seen was a large dead one which I found on the bank of the river Foyle on the Co. Donegal bank at Lifford. Co. Tyrone is on the other side of the river. The lamprey was probably close to 2 feet long and likely came upstream on the belly of a salmon before it died in the fresh water. That might be how it happened anyway.
