Flaunting its stylish rings!
No interactions present.
Worth trying to identify the ringing scheme using the resources at http://www.cr-birding.org/ or failing that http://blx1.bto.org/euring/lang/pages/colour_rings.jsp and reporting this bird if you have not already done so.
Let us know what you find out.
I contacted the BTO about the rings as you suggested and heard from them that this bird was ringed at Levington Lagoon as an adult on 06/02/2008. It has now been observed 165 times winter and summer, in every year with all observations being at Levington, in the creek or on the lagoon. They were pleased to receive the observation which will be added to their database.
Always interesting to see where birds have been going (or not going in the case of this one).
