Friday 31st May to June 1st.
See you there!
Bioblitz starts at 12 noon on Friday.
At 10 pm there is a bat walk and all are welcome.
On Saturday the fun continues with walks for all on the hour every hour looking at the wonderful flora and fauna surrounding Lissan House, Cookstown.
ISpot will be there to assist with the recording....
I see there is a mini Bioblitz at Cultra (Ulster Folk and Transport Museum) just outside Belfast soon.
"On Saturday 12th October we are holding a 6 hour mini-BioBlitz in the grounds of the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum at Cultra. We would be delighted if you could join us to assist with recording the range of species which may be found on site.
The official start time of the day is 10am, however, access can be gained earlier if desired.
All registered recorders will be provided with lunch and tea/coffee & scones in the afternoon, while we wait for the final tally to be revealed at 6pm."
I think registered recorders means Habitas wildlife recorders. Thats why I received this email. Are you registered with Habitas yourself?
I might go along to this one, Ive never been at a bioblitz, it sounds interesting.
I hope you made it on Saturday, unfortunately it was not possible for me to be there. It was a lovely day too. Must check out habitas.org.uk to see how it went.
Unfortunately I didnt make it. I was out on the sea in a boat failing to catch fish. It was a great day all the same- weather wise. I must have a look at the results myself. Cheers.
