Description:

Found in grassland, which was apparently once cultivated, during a Gwyl Taf vegetation control session. Didn't think it was particularly damp ground though. However, can't find another match.
Title changed to Common Sorrel which also seems to suit better the ground the plant was found in.

Common Sorrel

Thanks Lavateraguy; agree this is more likely to be a small example of Common Sorrel than Redshank; I was "worried" that it was too early for Redshank, and acknowledge that timing is better suited to CS. Presume the stem bearing the flower spikes will extend later, separating the flowers.
