Description:

i have added 2 pics which mattprince may find the details he mentions for which help i do thank him the underside should be ok but the eyes i found difficult to photo and to me they seem to be 2 sets of 3 ( or 2x4?)
once again this is new ground for me and these comments are appreciated

further to the comments by mattprince which i do appreciate i have taken two more pics which i hope will help with the underside and the best that i could do with the eyes
to me the eyes could be 2 sets of 3 (or is there 2x4?) this is new territtory for me and i find it very interesting do these help?

nice try.. but need a bit more clarity on the eyes/palps

Its quite a pivotal split in spider id between 6 eyed haplogyne and 8 eyed entelegyne spiders.

The palps do make me wonder if this might be a shrivelled up clubiona corticalis, rather than a gnaphosid. There is another difference in the eyes, in that most gnaphosidae have oval shaped posterior medians, as opposed to clubionid's round eyes, this one appears to be oval in the first picture.. but those palps.. hmm.

My only consolation is that everyone else is being very quiet ~ so I'm not the only one struggling to id this specimen ;)
