Has anyone else noted the number of either snall flies or midges there are about today? the are tillions of them, it's like a scene from 'The African Queen'

Lots of insects of all sorts are taking to the air now we have some sunshine and higher temperatures! True midges and a number of other flies, such as the St Mark's Fly group, are very much in evidence.
