2.5cm long moving quite fast across the path in a caterpillar-like fashion

Can anyone identify this creature? It has been suggested that it is a Harlequin Ladybird larvae, but at 2.5cm long I personally think it is unlikely.
I didn't know Glow worms were in the UK, never seen one here.

This is definitely not a ladybird larvae, which in the UK would struggle to reach 1cm, let alone 2.5! This is a glow-worm larva.
