It was interesting to watch this bird pulling twigs off the Honeysuckle while its mate kept watch nearby, constantly looking left and right. When the first bird had enough twigs, they both flew off together.

It almost seems a waste that one would act as look out then not collect anything itself. I wonder if this is a localised behaviour due to high predator presence.

This is a male, note how the red on the crown extends down, behind the eye.
